Everything you need to know about The Precious Gift campaign, how to give, what you'll receive, and how to get involved.

About the Book

The Precious Gift: Finding Wholeness in a World of Shame is rooted in the honor-shame theology of the Ancient Near East and anchored in Luke 7's story of the unnamed woman with the alabaster jar. It walks readers from shame's grip into the freedom of being truly known.

The Book — "From Labels to True Names" (~54,000 words). The core reading experience.

The 13-Week Study Guide — "The Conversation Shame Doesn't Want You to Have." For small groups walking through the book together.

The 30-Day Journal — "Where the Ink Meets the Ache, Healing Begins." A personal companion for the individual journey.

May 9, 2026. Digital files arrive on launch day via BookFunnel. Physical copies ship around the same time.
Joe Asiba is a theologian, author, and founder of The Mission House — based in Nairobi with East African roots and a global reach. He spent eight years as a tentmaking missionary in Dubai. Read his full story →

Platform & Trust

GiveSendGo is a faith-based crowdfunding platform that aligns with the mission behind The Precious Gift. It charges 0% platform fees — meaning 100% of your gift goes directly to this project. It also offers a Pray button alongside the Give button, which reflects the spiritual nature of this work. We chose a platform whose values match the content.
GiveSendGo charges no platform fees. Standard payment processing fees apply (approximately 2.7% + $0.30 per transaction for USD gifts). GiveSendGo may offer an optional tip during checkout — this goes to the platform, not to our campaign, and is entirely voluntary.
No. Unlike Kickstarter, GiveSendGo is not all-or-nothing. All funds raised go directly to the project regardless of whether the goal is reached. The book launches on May 9, 2026 either way — but the more support we receive, the larger the initial print run and the wider the distribution.
Regional production means we use different print facilities for different regions — IngramSpark in the UK/US, local printing in Nairobi — to reduce shipping costs and delivery times. Your gift is processed through GiveSendGo. Your books are fulfilled by us directly. There is no off-platform transaction.

Campaign & Reward Tiers

"Back the Book" is the GiveSendGo campaign to fund the production, printing, and distribution of The Precious Gift ecosystem. You choose a reward tier and receive products + Companion Hub access.

"Support the Mission" is an ongoing, general donation to The Mission House — Joe's ministry in Nairobi. It supports teaching, discipleship, and the podcast. It is not tied to the book campaign and does not include reward tiers.

Tier 3A ($17 / KSh 2,250) gives you the physical paperback only. The most affordable way to get the book in your hands.

Tier 3B ($30) gives you both the paperback and the digital eBook. Read the physical book at home, carry the digital version on your phone or Kindle.

Tier 4A ($50) gives you both physical copies — the paperback book and the 30-day journal. Read the story, then process it through the journal.

Tier 4B ($65) gives you both physical copies plus both digital versions (eBook + fillable journal PDF). Everything in print and on your device.

Tier 6 — Complete Ecosystem ($75) is the anchor tier and most popular. All three physical books + digital + Hub access. The book, study guide, and journal were designed as a system — the book tells the story, the study guide opens the conversation, and the journal makes it personal.
The 13-week Study Guide is specifically designed for group use — small groups, church discipleship programmes, counselling cohorts, and ministry teams. It includes facilitator notes and discussion questions. For individual study, the 30-Day Journal (included in Complete Ecosystem and Personal Starter Pack levels) is the recommended companion.
For groups up to 20 people, Tier 9B — Institutional Plus ($1,200) is the right fit — it includes 20 physical books and study guides plus a 24-month site licence. For groups larger than 20 or for multi-campus deployment, email hello@joeasiba.com after May 1, 2026 to discuss the Institutional Partner option.
Tier 9C ($2,000 Institutional Partner) involves a complex 24-month multi-cohort licence that requires post-campaign contract execution and custom training scheduling. It is offered post-campaign via direct enquiry only at joeasiba.com/guide or hello@joeasiba.com after May 1, 2026.
A Site Licence is a written permission letter (countersigned by Joe Asiba) that grants one specific organisation the right to use the purchased Study Guide materials for internal non-commercial group facilitation at one location for the licence duration. It is not a digital product — it is a formal permission document that accompanies the physical product purchase.
It is a personal conversation — 60 minutes with Joe to discuss your ministry context, your journey with the book, and how the ecosystem might serve your community. It is not a formal coaching contract. Joe will batch these calls monthly for all Founding Partner supporters.
Your name will be listed in the printed acknowledgments of The Precious Gift under 'Founding Table Builders' — the cohort of leaders who, during this campaign, committed to leading others through the formation journey. This is a permanent recognition in the first print run.
